Justin Thomas is from a small town in Upstate New York, called Niskayuna, located in the city of Schenectady. At an early age, Justin was gifted a typewriter for his birthday, started writing that night - close to midnight - and has been documenting is imagination ever since.

Writing throughout all of grade school and college, Justin’s efforts and dedication to his craft paid off with the publication of his first book, The Ronin Poetz, in 2000. The Ronin Poetz was also a history maker, being the first African-American narrative epic poem in America.

In 2012, Justin created Twin Griffin Books, a publishing company and playground for his overactive, literary imagination to play in. Here Justin pushes the boundaries of storytelling and raise the bar on creativity and innovation, adding to the collective literary voice and global black speculative fiction community.

Justin currently resides in Westchester County with his wife Nekia, who serves as his editor.
